The Old School Bar & Kitchen Gastro Pub welcomes you…

A village seven miles from Truro and three miles from Redruth. We love Mount Hawke and know you will too!

We are situated in Mount Hawke, which was a former mining area in the administrative civil parish of St Agnes. The Old School Bar & Kitchen is just minutes away from some of Cornwall’s best attractions, famous for; amazing beaches; prime surf spots and surf schools; glorious gardens; beautiful walks and spectacular boat trips.

Mount Hawke nears the South West Coast Path – the longest of the country’s National Trails. It follows the coastline of England’s South West Peninsula and the entire coastline of Cornwall, first along its north coast then round Land’s End and along the South Cornwall coast and across the mouth of the River Tamar and into Devon.

This makes the Old School Bar & Kitchen Gastro Pub the perfect stop for budding cyclists, ramblers and walkers – as well as those who are just visiting Cornwall to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We are a dog friendly gastro pub and dogs are always welcome in our bar and mezzanine areas! This makes us the perfect spot to pop into with your pooch for some lunch after a walk around the village.
